The Children of a Better God
Ndem is a shy, sensitive boy whose family barely survive sectarian violence. This causes them to flee their home as they search for peace in a troubled, divided nation facing economic difficulties, political uncertainties and the challenges of a forced coexistence.
He floats along in life, succeeding mainly by luck. But eventually, he is confronted by unexpected adversities. Faced with the prospects of real failure, he realises that he has to become intentional and deliberate even if the consequences are unfavourable.
In this story of loss and serendipity, what choices will Ndem make when he is faced with conflicting options? Will he be beaten and battered by his circumstances or will he continue to drift casually along with the tide at the mercy of fate and fortune?
Or can he muster the willpower for a fight to determine the outcomes of his own destiny?
